Roles & Responsibilities of Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is liable for encouraging the strategic orientation of the journal in alliance with the Editorial Board. Being the front man of the journal, he is accountable for fostering the journal’s contour within the scientific community, and assuring that content published fits the editorial manoeuvring and policies of the journal, as declared in the journal’s aim and scope.

The Editor-in-Chief is also accountable for supervising the performance of the publisher’s vital priority for Publishing.

  • Acts as the head and the brand ambassador of the journal.
  • Advance the reputation of the journal in the scientific community and thus increase its impact.
  • Invite prominent professors to join the editorial board.
  • Contributing Editorials and relevant scientific articles and closely work on suggesting topics for special issues.
  • Take responsibility of Peer-review process and making the final decision on acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
  • Review the work of the Editorial Board closely and regularly, and make recommendations arising from the review.
  • To be responsible for the editorial control and quality of the journal.
  • Oversee the timely publication of the journal.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics and competence.
  • Make sure that the articles are adequate to release the issues.
  • Work with the publisher for smooth functionally of the journal.
  • Promote the journal at relevant conferences and other public events.

Roles & Responsibilities of Editorial Board Member (EBM)

  • Solicit articles/manuscripts for issues of the journal for smooth running of Volumes.
  • Review five to ten manuscripts annually in minimum when assigned from journal forum.
  • The editorial board members will take turns in alphabetical order in writing the editorial.
  • The board members should keep total confidentiality and objectivity concerning manuscripts and the whole review process.
  • Once appointed on the Editorial Board, the member is required to submit at least one manuscript to the journal every year.
  • Review, edit and validate the content of the journal.
  • Classify and propose vital topics to cover in the journal and request key authors on these topics to submit an article.
  • Distinguish salient bestowed research, workshops, or committee resolutions from meetings/conferences suitable for publication in the journal and invite hosts to submit an article.

Other responsibilities to enhance journal reputation:

  • Every member of the editorial board should make conscious efforts to invite good quality research articles through their networks.
  • Alumni (faculty, non-faculty and students) of the organization may be motivated via emails and requested to contribute quality articles and book reviews for the journal.
  • Faculty members of the Institute/organization should be encouraged to write articles and book reviews related to their work area.
  • Students of the academics/peers should encourage/ support to write quality articles or book reviews related to their area of interest or their research topic.
  • They should strive to increase awareness of the journal, encourage colleagues and scientific- fellows to read and subscribe.
